1. Logistics Coordinator

In this job, you’ll be tasked with managing incoming goods, loading and offloading trucks and stacks. It is also your responsibility to ensure all transactions are done on the system. Basically, your key duties include ensuring ongoing production, monitoring off-site warehouse quantities, and monitoring shipping progress and expected arrivals.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • A valid Code 8 driver’s licence

2. Operations Engineer

Nampak’s operations engineers are tasked with ensuring that projects are delivered on time, in full, within budget, with no error, in the area of their responsibilities. They are also responsible for participating in and/or leading problem-solving task force sessions.

In this job, you’ll be responsible for providing subject matter expertise level of support in the area of responsibility. You also need to ensure adherence to divisional asset management standards.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering
  • Ability to travel intermittently during project execution
  • Possess exceptional analytical skills

3. Production Scheduler

Production schedulers schedule works orders for relevant works centres to generate a feasible plan for production to meet demand. They also generate a feasible fixed plan and update reports to monitor and track production performance.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant qualification or progressing towards one
  • At least two years of experience in a production planning or industrial or manufacturing environment and/or exposure to supply chain

4. Endmaker

An endmaker conducts a regular check on spoilage to analyse and investigate root causes. Nampak’s endmakers also ensure that products are manufactured following the specifications.

In this job, you’ll be tasked with evaluating raw material and rejecting poor quality production. In addition, you’ll also monitor daily production against schedule and take corrective action if necessary.

As a customer service representative of Nampak, you’ll be responsible for obtaining forecasts from the client, evaluating and adapting them to ensure an overall 80% accuracy between order and forecast.

Also, you’ll be tasked with gathering marketing information through client visits and distributing it to internal stakeholders to keep the company informed of the client’s environment.

It’s also part of your duties to gather information on monthly sales results, comparing it with a budget to identify variances and providing the market managers with details.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Sales
  • Minimum three years of experience in Sales or Customer Service in the manufacturing industry

6. Electrician

Nampak’s electricians normally work on the day and/or continental shifts as per business needs. However, they do work overtime when necessary in relieving electricians on the continental shift during their absence based on the relief roster.

Their key duties include conducting planned maintenance on production and services equipment, attending to breakdown repairs on production or services equipment and assisting with projects and installation work.

Requirements:

  • Qualified electrician or millwright with a minimum of N4
  • At least five years of experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Ability to read and find faults from electrical schematic drawings

  • Ability to work under pressure

7. Stores Superintendent

Generally, Nampak’s store’s superintendents assist the Logistics Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of the stores. They are also responsible for coaching the team on the store’s procedure to effectively meet the objectives of the department.

In this job, you’ll also be tasked with organising and facilitating stock takes at all regular intervals to ensure that a minimum percentage of total stockholding is counted on a monthly basis. In addition, producing accurate monthly inventory reports for Logistics Manager will be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or a National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or any related field
  • At least five years of experience in a store or distribution warehouse environment and two years of experience in a management level
  • Understanding of quality management systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
